These Bird Ringing Pliers are for use with split rings - as used by most of the national birding schemes around the world including BTO, SAFRING,
USFWS and ABBBS. These ringing pliers can also be used to close split rings supplied by smaller companies specialising in caged birds. The new design
features longer handles to increase power when closing large rings. The handles have a slight inward curve to ensure no increase on the open spread
of the handles. All sizes of split ring between 8 and 22mm can now be closed much more easily.
These pliers have been designed to close rings greater than 8mm in diameter. They feature 2 elliptical holes that vary in diameter (maximum diameter = 16 and 14 mm). The ringing pliers are made of stainless steel.
The Bird Ringing (Banding) Pliers are supplied with a lanyard for convenient use.
