Ichkeul, Tunisia, is one of the great wetlands of the world. It is used by large numbers of migrant water birds and provides one of the few remaining breeding areas for typically Mediterranean species like Purple Gallinule or White-headed Duck. This report, coming halfway through a four year study 1982-86, develops the knowledge, models and management strategies described in the University College London (UCL) 1977 Management Plan for Ichkeul.
