Biography

Michael Symes is a garden historian whose interested developed from literature to real gardens, particularly those of the eighteeenth century. For several years he has taught garden history to adults in university extra-mural classes and has engaged in research which has resulted in a number of publications. His books 'The English Rococo Garden' and 'Garden Sculpture' also appear in the Shire Garden History series.
