A Handbook of Harmful Marine Life has been written primarily to serve as a Handbook-cum-Reference for all the students of Life Sciences, viz Zoology Marine Biology Aquatic Biology and Environmental Sciences and as a general reading material for all those interested in harmful marine life.
The author was prompted to write this by a definite need and his strong desire for a book which would present all the scientific aspects of marine harmful life in which, a comprehensive publication is hitherto lacking. The different chapters have been devoted to all marine harmful species of microorganisms (bacteria, fungs and protozoans), poriferans, cnidarians, nemertines, polycheates, crustaceans, molluscs, echinoderms, fishes, neptiles (snakes, turtles and crocodiles) and mammals (seal, sealion and killer whale).
