About this book

Language: English

Lichens are most diverse in the tropics, where they cover most trees. A Microscopical Atlas of Some Tropical Lichens from SE-Asia gives detailed illustrations and descriptions of c. 210 species which occur in East Asia. Most of the species are illustrated for the first time ever in colour. From each species, habitus pictures are presented, but also illustrations of microscopical details. In some cases where the species are variable in some characters, more than one specimen is fully illustrated.

All illustrated specimens were found recently by the first author. New species in this book: Malmidea corallophora, Ocellularia protomegaspora

As opposed to what other websites claim, the author has confirmed that both volumes are written in English.
