Zhao Zhenjie
Compiled by one of China's leading ornithologists, this two-volume handbook is a comprehensive review of the region's avifauna, covering not only the Chinese mainland, but also Hong Kong, Taiwan, and many offshore islands. Some 1264 species are covered. Volume 1 covers 570 non-passerine species in 53 families. The second edition has been produced to a higher standard and contains 68 pages of colour plates. In Chinese, but gives latin scientific names.
