About this book

This catalogue lists 309 oribatid species for Finland (nine species for the first time) by compiling over 15000 records from 58 publications and unpublished material preserved in the Zoological Museums of Helsinki and Turku. The synonyms used in the cited papers are listed under current names, but re-evaluation of the species determinations in these earlier collections is still in progress. The key works used by the contributors are given at the end of the references. The locations of the findings are mapped using UTM-squares (50 km2).
