One of the most challenging problems facing mankind is the issue of waste disposal. This is because humankind is now producing more waste than ever
before, creating an unprecedented problem for the environment. Waste heaps defacing the streets of Lagos, Nigeria, is not an entirely new phenomenon
due to indiscriminate dumping among residents.
With this rationale, this book seeks to address the attitude towards solid waste management and to understand the psychosocial factors that influenced attitude towards solid waste management. The book provides information on waste management and psychosocial factors that enhance man-environment interactions. The analysis should help shed light on the roles played by psychosocial variables. The book concludes that people who presented themselves in a positive light to the public were more concerned with the way they managed solid waste.
