About this book

Language: German

Most people only think of the variety and beauty of species and their conservation when you mention the keyword "biodiversity". However, biodiversity provides much more. It is possible to design biotic components and resources of biodiversity in such a way that certain ecological processes and functions (ecosystem services), such as natural pest control, are encouraged. This book describes the example of cabbage farming, that can be designed as a beneficial system using the self-regulatory forces of nature, while being considerate towards the environment, and yet still have it provide sufficient yields of high quality.
