About this book

Language: Japanese with scientific nomenclature

So far in this series, the author has treated one or even two geological periods in one volume. But for the cretaceous there is so much information available that is has been spread over two volumes. This volume generally covers the first half of the Cretaceous, a period which begins without a large extinction event occuring. Since the warm and humid climate of the Jurassic persisted, the same rane of organisms continued existing into the Cretaceous. Dinosaurs flourished more and more and reigned on land. On the other hand mammals also evolved, although they were not powerful enough to even attack a juvenile dinosaur. In the sea, ammonites of all kinds entered an era of prosperity.
