About this book

Language: English

Birds Recorded During a Study in Himachal Pradesh is based on the field work carried out by the author on the occurrence and distribution of birds in Himachal Pradesh during June 2007 to May 2012. It illustrates 308 species belonging to 14 orders and 49 families giving information about distribution of birds recorded at various sites with dates, altitudes and checklists. The status and relative abundance of birds (in different climatic zones) have been analyzed and birds are shown with coloured photographs taken in their natural habitats. For this study, about 220 days were devoted in the field covering various locations (350 m to 4150 m) in Himachal Pradesh.
