Bird identification can be very confusing for the beginner, and because many species are multicoloured, birds are not the most obvious group of animals for an identification guide by colour. This brand new guide takes a bold, fresh approach to the subject, picking out colours and features by which birds can be grouped for easy identification.

Fabulous new artwork illustrates all the commoner species of western Europe (and even a few of the less common species) and helpful captions point out the key features of each species. The second half of the book is a more traditional-type field guide in taxonomic order, using colour photographs instead of illustrations. About 200 species are covered.
