A picture of the past and present status of birds on the island of Anglesey, North West Wales. The book covers a short history of the birds of Anglesey; habitat changes on Anglesey over the centuries; wildfowl and waders; seabirds and landbirds; and where to watch birds in Anglesey (including grid references). A systematic list of birds for Anglesey from the earliet records to 1999 are provided, including records of rarities and information on breeding, wintering and habitat use of over 300 species. An additional chapter is provided on the birds of Puffin Island, an important seabird breeding site on the East coast of Anglesey. It is enriched with water colours and photographs from around Anglesey, and also incorporates line drawings by local wildlife artist Philip Snow.
