Series informationEmploying new technology, Birdvoice Pen allows the user to simply point at the bird in question or the sticker in your favourite book and instantly hear CD quality recordings of different display calls (songs and calls). Or, if you wish, select the "guide" button and hear Geoff Sample explain key features of the display calls. Built in are the calls, songs and guides for 270 British birds. The pen runs on two AAA batteries, has a 256mb chip and built in speakers. There are ports of external speakers or earphones and a usb port for downloading future updates. The BirdVoice Organiser has 115 pages of 270 British birds expertly illustrated by some of Britain's best illustrators are sound enabled by expert recordings by Jean C Roche and teaching guides by Geoff Sample. Just touch the icon with the Pen and hear Geoff explaining what to look out for in distinguishing sounds. Birds are sorted in scientific order with common and latin names. Habitats are explained and there is a location map for each bird. The Field Guide is a hardwearing encapsulated (weather resistant) reference card. It has been designed to fit easily into a shirt pocket. Species are ordered alphabetically by common names for instant accessibility. There are 270 species with calls, songs and guides in a concertinaed A4 sized guide. The Sticker Set gives you all the advantages of BirdVoice within the comfort and familiarity of your favourite bird guide. Species have been categorised by their scientific order to fall in line with the vast majority of reference guides. Simply peel off the sticker for each bird and stick it into a clear area on the page of the corresponding bird in your guide.
