CD | 2006 | £52.88 | approx. $105/€67

#160526
This MP3-CD contains 1047 recordings in MP3 format of over 1000 Brazilian bird species.

In recent years, the author Peter Boesman visited Brazil several times to study birds, in a variety of places spread over the country. During these trips he recorded vocalizations of quite some bird species.

Considering the fact that there are still few audio-products available in contrast with the wealth of birds Brazil has to offer, Peter came up with the idea to make available a set of Brazilian Bird sounds by choosing some of the recordings out of his personal collection (over 15,000) and adding some more recordings made by others. This set of recordings fills a gap and provides researchers and birders with a reliable and handy tool that will help them in identifying birds in the field.

The information on date and locality for every recording is also included on the CD in the form of a webpage (use Internet Explorer) from which any sound file can be clicked directly thanks to the embedded hyperlinks; for mac users a PDF file can be found on the disc.
