Botswana is a landlocked country at the very heart of Southern Africa. The terrain is predominately flat to gently rolling tablelands while the Kalahari Dessert covers much of the south west. Because of a national policy of conservation, and the resultant extensive nature reserves, the country provides a magnificent stage for an adventurous photo safari. There is an abundance of wildlife, including lions, leopards, elephants, giraffes, antelopes, ostriches and crocodiles. This was the first destination visited by the authors and, as with all the subsequent titles, the superb photography is supported by informative text and highly professional original design and layout. Each photograph is accompanied by a caption explaining the circumstances of the shoot and offering practical photographic advice.
