The diversity of landform, climate and plant communities of mainland South-east Asia allow the region to support 50 species of carnivores. Some of these species have wide-ranging distributions, stretching as far as Europe, while at the other extreme some of them are restricted to just certain parts of south-east Asia. Many of these carnivores are seriously threatened, while some may be already extinct from south-east Asia and the rest of the world. This book presents a compilation of interesting basic information about these 50 species.
