Cats of Africa

Anthony Hall-Martin
152 pages, 60 col paintings, 100 b/w illus.
Swan Hill Press

Hardcover | 1997 | £29.99 | approx. $60/€39

#55305 | ISBN-10: 1853109363
A major art and wildlife book, this book covers all wild cat species found in Africa. Much of the emphasis is given to the three major cats - the lion, the leopard and cheetah. All the illustrations show the behaviour and the activities of the different species, their interactions with their prey, and features of their environment such as resting places in trees or on rocks and vantage points on fallen trees or termite mounds. The text is enlivened with anecdotal material which illustrates certain aspects of the cat's behaviour or lifestyle.
