Chalk streams are part of our heritage, are uique to England and yet are internationally renowned for the quality of their dry fly fishing, flora and fauna. Water meadows are generally complementary to chalk streams, with many of their natural features having been changed by man over the last 450 years to provide a now redundant system of agriculture. "Chalk Streams and Water Meadows" records the history ot the streams and meadows, together with details of where they are to be found and their present condition.
