Describes and illustrates 1500 species commonly found in coastal areas from Cyprus in the east to Spain in the west, and also includes Portugal and the Algarve. Also features species likely to be found in mountain foothills and shells and animals likely to be seen while snorkelling. Species covered include mammals, birds, reptiles and amphibians, butterflies and moths, other insects, spiders, slugs and snails, trees and flowering plants are all included.
