This book attempts to illustrate that amphibians and reptiles add to the diversity of wildlife in Botswana. Amphibians and reptiles are an integral link, through food chains and food webs, in the survival of mammals, fishes, birds and human beings. Most of the amphibians and reptiles are useful creatures and harmless to man.
Bernhard and Renate Clauss complied this book in the hope that it will contribute to creating a better understanding of this kind of wildlife, which Botswana still approach with deep-rooted misconceptions, but also with considerable fascination.
