CD (Hybrid) | 2004 | £91.59 | approx. $165/€113

#149342 | ISBN-10: 9075000596
Based on the 3 volume work "Crabs of Japan and the Adjacent Seas" (1976) by Dr Tsune Sakai, the information contained in this CD ROM has been extensively revised and extended by the distinguished carcinologists: Dr Daniele Guinot, Paris; Dr Peter Davie, Brisbane; and Dr Michael Turkay, Frankfurt am Main. More than 1250 species and subspecies belonging to 425 genera are now recognized, ranging from local (Japanese) endemics to widespread Pacific and Indian Ocean species. All species are described and illustrated, and all published distribution data checked, listed and mapped. A key is provided down to the (sub-)families, and for all families, genera, etc. a diagnosis and full synonymy is given. All text is linked to a glossary of terms.
