Critical loads - the threshold at which a pollutant causes harm to the environment - are an important ecological concept, and one which is increasingly being incorporated into environmental legislation. This book documents the proceedings of a Conference held in 1992 which aimed to bring together scientists, policy makers and legislators in this important field.
