Biography

Simon Meakin was brought up on a smallholding, and trained at the University of Newcastle upon Tyne where he gained a BSc(Hons) degree in Agriculture and an MSc degree in Agronomy and Pest Management. After working as an arable agronomist in Southern England, he moved north to work as a grain trader, providing agronomic advice to contracted growers. Simon is now a Director within the Springdale Group Limited, which specializes in the commercialization of non-food and oilseed markets, and has responsibility for the international agronomic development of existing and new crops. Resident: North Yorkshire
