'Crossbill guides' is a new series of attractively produced nature travel guides on major European natural areas, published by KNNV, the Dutch conservation NGO.
The first two guides in the series are on the Biebrza Marshes in Poland, and Coto Donana in Spain. In the pipeline are guides on the Bialowieza primeval forest (Poland), Extremadura (Spain), Andalusian Sierras (Spain), Camargue, La Crau and Les Alpilles (France) and Vanoise and Gran Paradiso (France/Italy).
With this coverage of some well known and some lesser known areas, Crossbill Guides look set to become indispensable books for wildlife travellers and conservationists visiting Europe.
