...The papers are clearly presented, and some are excellent scientific writing...I congratulate Dr Buckley and the contributors on having produced one of the best ecological symposium volumes of the last twenty years - Trends in Ecology and Evolution; ..this is a very important and impressive book: it provides a whole spread of detailed scientific information about coppice woodlands. It is well written and carefully edited.
