A cheaper alternative than the Mammal Trip-Trap as it lacks the nesting chamber common to the
mammal Trip-Trap and Longworth traps. This means you can see what is inside without opening it. The door drops automatically behind the small mammal
when it crosses the treadle to reach the bait. Plentiful ventilation points help to reduce stress to the trapped individual. The trap is easy to
bait and set and full instructions are provided. Ideally this trap should be checked every two hours to minimise stress and prevent species such as
woodmice attacking the plastic.
Some small mammal species are protected by law (shrews in the UK) and you must obtain a licence from Scottish Natural Heritage or English Nature if you set traps with the intention of trapping any species of shrew. Please ensure you are aware off and meet the requirements specified, of any relevant laws in the country you are in.
