Etosha National Park in northern Namibia is one of the largest and most spectacular game reserves in Africa. It is home to an enormous variety of species. At the heart of this wilderness is the Etosha Pan, a desert, where vital spring water trickles out at its edge. Thousands of animals drink here daily during the 8 months long dry season, which becomes a fight for survival for many. The relieving rainy season brings a short-lived abundance, from which the wildlife gains strength before the hard dry season returns.
Claudia and Wynand du Plessis have lived in Etosha National Park for over 10 years, working as conservation scientists and capturing the dramatic changes in the environment with stunning photography.
