About this book
Language: French
This French-language volume presents the results of a marine expedition to the coral reefs in the Mont Panie region of New Caledonia. Alongside an account of the region's rich marine flora and fauna, the study analyzes the results of surveys conducted among local Kanak tribes that examined their use of marine resources and sought their input into conservation recommendations for the region. The report makes specific conservation proposals that respect the traditions-and bear the support-of these local communities.
