The Explorer digital endoscope camera is the field ecologist's best friend. It features all the great features of the SeeSnake inspection camera but
with two added bonuses;
* The screen can be detached from the endoscope whilst in operation and footage can still be viewed on the screen. So, one person can be balancing precariously up a ladder checking roosts whilst the rest of the group views the footage from the safety of the ground! With an effective range of over 10 metres, the screen and endoscope do not even have to be near each other.
* The Explorer is cheaper than the SeeSnake making it highly cost effective for group and educational use.
The Explorer is lightweight and easily operated by one hand. There is an AV port for video output to any computer or monitor which also has an AV port. At 1 metre in length, the endoscope can be used to look inside a variety of boxes, burrows, nests and other crevices. The adjustable lighting level can help to minimise disturbance to animals. The camera has an IP67 waterproof rating allowing you to investigate under the water. The tip of the endoscope is just 9mm in diameter with two LEDs providing adjustable lighting for the camera.
The TFT-LCD colour screen is 4.7 by 3.5cm (effective pixels: 480 x 240). The screen has a rechargeable Li-battery and a mains charger is included. The endoscope takes 4 x AA batteries. This gives over 17 hours of continuous use when not used wirelessly.
The Explorer comes with three camera attachments (mirror, hook and magnet), mains charger for screen and a heavy duty carry case.
