Gathers and summarizes the vast amount of information on the biology, ecology and systematics of the native and introduced species that currently inhabit and reproduce on the Iberian Peninsula and the Balearic Islands. Taxonomic information has been reviewed and updated using the latest morphological and molecular studies, and where necessary new names and name combinations have been introduced. The monograph also contains identification keys, numerous black and white illustrations, along with distribution maps and colour photographs of all the species.
