Each type is characterized by basic criteria such as: life form, habitat, ecology, and distribution in the region. The book shows the rarity status of individual species, and in which herbaria they are stored. The formation of the flora of reservoirs and waterways of the Astrakhan region is given since the time of the Grat Khvalynsk transgression during the Pleistocene. The book is aimed at researchers, students, botanists, and geographers.
