The Malvaceae of Ecuador are revised. Thirty-one genera and 105 species are recorded from Ecuador. One species is decribed as new, viz. Wercklea intermedia FRYXELL . Three new combinations are made, viz.Abutilon dispermum (HOCHR.) FRYXELL, Bastardiopsis myrianthus (TRIANA & PLANCHON) FRYXELL, and Sida Poeppigiana (SCHUMANN) FRYXELL. Keys are provided for all taxa, genera and species are fully described, and full specimen citations are given for all species. Selected species are illustrated.
