The Cecropiaceae occurring in Ecuador are revised. Three genera, Cecropia LOEFL., Coussapoa AUBLET, and Pourouma AUBLET, with altogether 59 species are recorded from Ecuador. Keys, descriptions, and full specimen citations are provided for all taxa and many species are illustrated. Six species are described as new, viz. Cecripia Angelica BERG & FRANCO, Cecropia bullata BERG & FRANCO, Cecropia villosa BERG & FRANCO, Coussapoa jatun-sachensis BERG, Pourouma floccoa BERG, and Pourouma petolulata BERG. Two new combinations are made, viz. Cecropia concolor WILLD. ssp. Engleriana (SEATHLAGE) BERG & FRANCO and Cecropia obtusifolia BERTOL. ssp. burriada (CUATREC.) BERG & FRANCO.
