The Ecuadorean Rosaceae are revised. Eleven genera with a total of 68 species are recognized: Rubus (21 spp.), Fragaria (1 sp.), Geum (1 sp.), Potentilla (1 sp.), Margyricarpus (1 sp.), Acaena (4 spp.), Polylepis (7 spp.), Lachemilla (24 spp.), Aphanes (1 sp.), Prunus (5 spp.) and Hesperomeles (2 spp.). Three taxa are described as new: Rubus azuayensis ROMOLEROUX, R. Laegaardii ROMOLEROUX, and Lachemilla angustata ROMOLEROUX. One new combination is made: Hesperomeles obtusifolia var. microphylla (WEDD.) ROMOLEROUX. Keys, descriptions, and specimen citations are provided for all taxa, and most species are illustrated.

The family Connaraceae is represented in Ecuador by three genera, Cnestidium, Connarus, and Rourea. So far, eight species have been documented by Ecuadorean collections, while two additional taxa belonging to Connarus are considered likely to occur in the country given their presence in adjacent Colombia, Peru, and Brazil. Descriptions and specimen citations are provided for eight species; the remaining two taxa are only included in the key.
