The Ecuadorean Menispermaceae are revised. Thirteen genera with a total of 44 species are recognized: Chondrodendron (1 sp.), Curarea (2 spp.), Sciadotenia (2 spp.), Hyperbaena (1 sp.), Telitoxicum (1 sp.), Abuta (8 spp.), Elephantomene (1 sp.), Anomospermum (5 spp.), Orthomene (1 sp.), Odontocarya (9 spp.), Borsimene (1 sp.), Disciphania (8 spp.), and Cissampelos (4 spp.). Keys, descriptions, and specimen citations are provided for all taxa, and many species are illustrated.
