The family Loasaceae is revised for Ecuador. The family is represented in this country by one species of Gronovia, two species of Mentzelia, two species of Klaprothia, one species of Caiophora and 26 species of Nasa. Nasa ferox, Nasa Asplundii, Nasa connectans, Nasa modesta, and Nasa tabularis are described as new taxa. Descriptions and keys are provided. Thirty species are illustrated.
