Series informationPlanned in five volumes, to start appearing in 2001, this new critical flora will provide a definitive account of the native, naturalised, frequent garden escapees, and casual species found in the British Isles. Full keys and descriptions will allow the user to name all plants occuring in the wild, plus some ornamental trees and shrubs. For the first time detailed accounts of all the large apomictic genera are given and many infraspecific variants included. Each species account includes common English name, accepted latin name, synonyms, and description. Information on status, ecology and distribution is also supplied.
