The GPSMAP 62stc possesses a 3-axis tilt-compensated compass, barometric altimeter and preloaded European 1:100k scale recreation maps making it the perfect choice for finding your way in demanding field conditions. This unit has a sunlight readable colour screen and also allows you to transfer data wirelessly to other compatible Garmin devices. A customisable display allows you to see only the details that you need. With a quad helix antenna, high-sensitivity WAAS/EGNOS enabled GPS receiver and HotFix satellite prediction, the GPSMAP 62stc has unparalleled reception to locate your position quickly and precisely and maintains its GPS location even in heavy cover and deep valleys.
The GPSMAP 62stc also allows you to capture locations and memories with the 5-megapixel autofocus digital camera. Each photo is automatically geotagged with the location of where it was taken, a feature that is invaluable for many types of ecological surveying.
This great GPS unit is also available as a bundle with the GB Discoverer 1:50K Full Country Mapping software. This package provides full 1:50k scale Ordnance Survey Landranger map coverage for the whole of Great Britain and includes includes terrain contours, topo elevations, summits, paths, routable roads and geographical points. Plus, with NAVTEQ road data and points of interest, you'll get turn-by-turn directions to your destinations. The GB Discoverer comes on a microSD card and is supplied with an SD card adapter to make data transfer to your PC easier.
