Biography

After years of teaching geography in secondary schools, John Townsend realised that children were crying out for interesting, captivating and engaging reads – so he decided to write them! He has now written over 100 books and also works as a guest speaker – often visiting schools, writers' groups and libraries. He lives in Suckley, Worcester.

David Shephard has worked for numerous different publishers, magazines, newspapers, and design agencies. More recently, he has found himself more and more drawn to working on imagery for young children and has a clean and traditional style. He lives in Sussex with his wife, son and cat.
