About this book

Language: German

Switzerland has one of the densest road networks in Europe, whereby approximately 70 percent of all nationally important wildlife corridors are either functionally impaired or completely interrupted. Habitatfragmentierung, Kleine Populationen und das Überleben von Wildtieren highlights the problems resulting from habitat fragmentation and those that small wild animal populations are facing. Based on an extensive study of roe deer from the Swiss Plateau and the northern foothills of the Alps, the genetic effects of habitat fragmentations are documented.
