The second volume of the guide continues the series of publications devoted to birds’ taxonomical identification by macro- and microstructure of feathers. The first volume of Identification Book of Birds, Based on Feathers or their Fragments: The Orders:Passeriformes. Family Corvidae was published in 2011. The guide was created by specialists of the A.N. Severtsov Institute of Ecology and Evolution of the Russian Academy of Sciences. The second volume is devoted to the birds species, whose plumage serves as an object of studies in the different fields of omithology, in particular, in avian ornithology and zoology, paleontology, paleontological biology, archeology, ethnography and anthropology, as well as in ecological education and criminology . For omithologists, zoologists, and histologists.

The CD-ROM contains a 119-page PDF file with colour photos.
