Finally available in print again, this excellent field guide was written to help scientific observers identify those seabirds likely to be caught in the Southern Ocean, and takes into account the requirements of the CCAMER Scheme of International Scientific Observation. The colour plates (by Derek Onley, illustrator of Field Guide to New Zealand Birds) depict the key features of 36 Southern Ocean seabird species likely to be caught in fishing gear or that been seen feeding from fishing boats. Includes a divaricating key to all species. A very useful reference for all those with an interest in Southern Ocean seabirds.
