Bat Detectors
Ideal for expedition use, made of lightweight, fine mesh supported by metal rods these highly portable traps fold flat for travel and storage. They can be set up to run on either mains or generator powered mercury vapour electrics or actinic bulbs, or battery (12V) powered actinics.
This collapsible fabric trap has a body shaped for stability and good wind resistance, a collapsible central cone which is carefully shaped for efficient capture, a large UV resistant rainshield which is vital for rain protection of Mercury Vapour bulbs and a tough container bag.
For all lights, trapping efficiency may be improved by restricting the exit area at the base of the cone, using the accessory cone extender, so reducing moth escape.
