Bat Detectors
Ideal for both expedition and general use, made of lightweight, fine mesh supported by metal rods these highly portable traps fold flat for travel and storage. This trap comes supplied with Mercury Vapour 125W electrics offering the highest catch rates from either mains or generator power supply. This trap can also be run with mains powered actinic electrics, or battery (12V) powered Actinics (not included).
This collapsible fabric trap has a body shaped for stability and good wind resistance, a collapsible central cone which is carefully shaped for efficient capture, a large UV resistant rainshield which is vital for rain protection of Mercury Vapour bulbs and a tough container bag.
For all lights, trapping efficiency may be improved by restricting the exit area at the base of the cone, using the accessory cone extender, so reducing moth escape.
Mercury Vapour 125W bulbs offer the highest catch rates. These 240V electrics are supplied with a IP56 waterproof control box, with compression flanges and 10 metres of input lead and 2 metres of output lead. Can be powered from mains or a generator
