About this book

Language: French

With its characteristic quills, the hedgehog is familiar to us: we find it in photos, in gadgets of all kinds, in advertisements, in comic books... but what do we really know about this small nocturnal mammal other than that it stings and curls into a ball? Who knows how the hedgehog occupies its nights? What it eats? Where and when it hibernates?

Philippe Jourde invites us to follow step by step, summer and winter, this discreet animal. He teaches us that behind the hedgehog that we feed each evening in the garden are certainly hiding several individuals, since several animals can live in the same territory. Or that the bread soaked in milk that we put in their bowl is perhaps not the most suitable dish, since the species mainly feeds on insects!
