Published in March 2014, this atlas provides a reference on the state of knowledge for all 30 species of bats found in the Rhône-Alpes, France.

A synthesis of over 60,000 data point collected between 1890 and late 2012, this 480-page book includes, besides the monographs of species, analysis of ringing data, a presentation of the history of the study of bats in the Rhône-Alpes, and an overview of the protection of sites.

The writing of the book was done collectively by the members of the Groupe Chiroptères Rhône-Alpes, under direction of a professional team of the LPO. Richly illustrated with photographs, maps and graphics the book is aimed at both bat workers, and staff working in the environment or with the public.

Synthèse de plus de 60 000 données collectées entre 1890 et fin 2012, cet ouvrage de 480 pages comprend notamment, outre les monographies d'espèces, une analyse des données de baguage, une présentation de l'histoire de la chiroptérologie rhônalpine ou encore un état des lieux sur la protection des gîtes.

La rédaction de l'ouvrage a été menée collectivement par les membres du Groupe Chiroptères Rhône-Alpes, encadrée par l'équipe professionnelle de la LPO. Richement illustré de photographies, cartes et graphiques l'ouvrage s'adresse aussi bien aux chiroptérologues, qu'au personnel travaillant dans l'environnement ou encore au grand public.
