Native food plants such as cereals, have vast potential for exploitation in Sub-Saharan Africa. This, the first volume in a new three part series concentrates on cereals such as: African rice; finger millet; fonio; sorghum; tef; and other cultivated and wild grains. There is information on nutritional value and flavour, as well as growing, harvesting and production. The volume is designed as a tool for economic development, to help those concerned with restoring food production, environmental health and economic opportunity in Sub-Saharan Africa.
