About this book

Language: English

The present work deals with the recording of medicinal plants of Garhwal Himalaya, which are collected by different agencies and medicine suppliers active in the in area. Since there was no authentic record of trade data available, the record of trade data has also been provided. In the present work emphasis has been given to recommend the cultivation of medicinal plants which are more valuable and may be the source of income of common people (agriculturists). The actual potential of medicinal plants has been assessed by acquiring first hand information about the availability and quantity of specific medicinal plants in the field and assessing its market value by visiting various pharmacies and traders after cross checking of information. The present work will help the government as well as pharmacies and traders in programming their proposal for establishing new pharmaceuticals, etc.
