About this book

Language: Italian with bilingual preface and keys in English and Italian

With a preface by the Belgian tropical Russulales specialist Bart Buyck. This volume treats 107 species (varieties and forms excluded) of which 7 are new to science. Numerous original determination keys are proposed, together with an English translation. The review of the nomenclature was done in collaboration with the French specialist Guy Redeuilh. The chapter on systematics includes critical character analysis for Russula's classification and the proposal for a new sort of European russus. Species treatments include a fungus registry; synopsis picture; typification; descriptive card; taxonomic notes; and nomenclature notes. For the first time, in the mycological field, the keys for determination of species are illustrated by colour photos; This peculiarity contributes to making the work, from a scientific point of view, of great public interest.
